Description

Berberine supports healthy cholesterol levels and effective glucose metabolism.

Berberine is a compound present in several plants, including goldenseal and Oregon grape. New Roots Herbal’s Berberine is sourced from barberry (Berberis aristata), a hardy evergreen species well adapted to temperate and subtropical regions throughout the world.

This bitter alkaloid has a rich history of therapeutic use, dating back thousands of years in both Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.

Current research proves promising for berberine relevant for two of the most common conditions faced by North Americans: hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) and elevated blood sugar. New Roots Herbal’s Berberine can help as it supports both healthy cholesterol levels and glucose metabolism.
