Ahiflower® SAP provides a natural, non-GMO, vegan friendly, and sustainable source of PUFAs. Preclinical and clinical studies conducted with Ahiflower® demonstrated the ability of Ahiflower® to increase EPA and DHA accumulation in the tissues.
Ahiflower® SAP is unique as it provides high amounts of stearidonic acid (SDA), which is a precursor of EPA and DHA, without the need for ALA and enzymes required to convert ALA to EPA. Also, Ahiflower® SAP is a rich source of γ-linolenic acid (GLA), known for the attenuation of inflammation.
